Julius Caesar Archetypes

Julius Caesar a play written by William Shakespeare has a lot movies and tv shows that have similarities. Everything from tv shows, and cartoon shows. It takes you to think deeply in order to compare cartoons to Julius Caesar. Here are some examples of archetypes.

The movie Alice and Wonderland they have a evil monarchy like the evil queen. In Julius Caesar the whole senate is evil and conniving. He was the one who killed caesar and was trying to play innocent. Brutus was trying his best to get everyone to not look up caesar anymore. Cassius was asking why everyone was looking up to someone else and they were just worshiping Caesar.

In spongebob they had a king of the sea. They looked up to him but except when he was in the present people seemed terrified. But sometimes people felt that he was a celebrity. This is the same was Caesar was looked as. He was like a ruler. Everyone bowed to his feet.

In the cartoon the Fairly OddParents Timmy Turner has mentors. He has someone he looks to and someone who helps him. This is the way Brutus is looked upon. Even though he was the one who had some to do with the death of Caesar. So this is conniving.

Julius Caesar to me is a very intense story. It is very detailed so comparing it to tv shows that are not as intense requires some thinking. There are a lot of cartoon shows that are similar to Julius Caesar. If you were born around the time of Julius Caesar, would you worship him ? Would you support who killed him ?

Arthur Miller

Arthur Miller, born in New York in 1915, was considered one of the best playwrights of the 20th century. He wrote plays such as “A View from the bridge “and “Crucible” and the award winning Death of a salesman.” Before moving back east Arthur attended the University of Michigan where he wrote dramas for stage. His family lost everything in the Wall Street crash in 1929. He wrote his first play in class titled “No Villain” He first play to ever get out on stage had lots of criticism and not so good reviews.

Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” had a huge meaning behind it. He wrote after the real life situation where the U.S government tried the push the idea of communism and leftist activity in America. He wrote this to tell a story. He was Jewish man who was against the racial inequality going on in the government. His main target was Senator Joseph McCarthy. He was lead of trying to get rid of the “country of Communism.”

He was eventually was told that his actions was Un-American because of the connection he had to the issues. He refused to blame any of his friends following the incident. The action went unseen and looked past. He soon found out that all related to communism was looked past. This inspired them to write about Salem Witch trials. In his interview was saying he seen some ‘astonishing correspondences” that occurred in America during the 40s and 50s.

People Who Changed Lives

In class we were reading “The Teacher Who Change My Life.” In the story the boy who was from Greece and was looked upon as a special child in school because he hardly spoke english. He had a teacher named Marjorie Hurd who helped him with his english and changed his life forever. If it was not for her he would not have been where he is now. So i am going to tell you about someone who changed lives for not just one particular person but thousands.

Clara Belle Williams was a motivation for the African-American people. After slavery she was one of the first African- American women to attend college and graduate. She attended college in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It was hard for her to attend college because she was married with three kids. She was looked down upon by the typical caucasian students and teachers.

She faced discrimination. The teachers made her stand outside the classroom. She sat outside during lectures and test. While still taking on her job as a teacher she graduated with a Bachelors in English at age 51. She was not the only one to be successful. Her children also became very successful. NMSU English building, the school she attended, was renamed Clara Belle Williams Hall. She was had celebrations in her honor before she died at age 108.

Mind Blowing

I have a battle everyday trying to cope with my life. I sometimes with try and go to extreme measures just to make the way I go away. A day without thinking, a day without crying, a day away away from stress. I can’t focus on my work. Sometimes I think I’m hearing voices. Someone can be talking directly to me and i want hear a word they said. I’ve even ran into walls from being blinded by my thoughts.

I sometimes feel like a mental patient, wanting to scream to the top of my lungs. My everyday life is not like an average teenager. Im taking on responsiblility that I was not expecting to do until I was out on my own. Its stressful. I have a job and to school. I have to make time for homework and still have enough sleep just to sleep and get for school the next day. Everyday i slowly don;t feel like myself.

How do you cope with this situation? I am also very easily distracted if i can doing something. Its like my own mind wants me to just break down and give up on everything. Can your own mind lead you to self destruction? Am I the only who who deals with this problem on a day to day bases?

How To Survive In Cold Weather

This topic is very important for those who love to hike, go out in, or traveling in extremely cold weather. In “To Build a Fire” the man did not make very wise choices while traveling in the cold weather. He didn’t exactly have to proper clothing on to keep him warm. He also traveled alone, which if you want to travel in extremely cold weather never travel alone. Me personally would not travel in extremely cold weather because of the life threatening risk of traveling in this type of weather.

When in cold weather frostbit forms on hands and feet mostly. If exposed for too long you can lose feeling and eventually not be able to use it at all. The rest of the body can suffer from hypothermia. It takes only about 20 to minutes for someone to suffer. You have to also consider the fact that you have to stay warm and eat also. It may feel like you limbs can fall off but they cant, but you body can shut completely down and you die.

When traveling make sure travel with someone with some type of knowledge about traveling in this type of weather. At least find out for yourself how to travel smartly and safely. Never travel too long in cold weather. Have you ever traveled in cold and experienced difficulties? If so did you travel alone? If you traveled alone was it difficult?
